Travelers through Maungatoroto may do a double-take at the two large boots sticking from the top of one of the central shops. “Dreams”, states the signage, and dreaming is one logical explanation. It may come as a surprise to find a classy little homewares store beneath the legs, owned and gathered by Janice Schimanski. “The shop is an extension of my love for pretty things. There are items from France and India scattered among New Zealand-made items.” Look for beautiful jewelry, gifts and Charlie the dog.
