MARTON
Tūtaenui
Some 4km from the highway, Marton's name was changed from Tūtaenui in 1869 to honour Captain James Cook's birthplace of Martonin-Cleveland, Yorkshire. Driving along the town's main street is delightful as many of its late-19th-century, and early-20th-century buildings remain.
