Local Knowledge — Collaborations by Euan Macleod and Gregory O’Brien
To 5 December, Eastern Southland Gallery, Gore
The Clutha River and other southern rivers feature in a collaborative project with more than 20 paintings by Sydney-based New Zealand artist Euan Macleod and Wellington-based poet, painter and curator Gregory O’Brien. Both artists have a strong affinity with the South Island — Christchurch-born Macleod studied at the University of Canterbury’s School Of Fine Arts before relocating to Sydney in 1981, while O’Brien is a former artist-in-residence at Henderson House in Alexandra. esgallery.co.nz
