Museum, Porirua Large-scale works by Northland-based painter Jack Trolove are felt before they’re seen with modulated lighting in the gallery allowing the art to “disappear and reappear, wake and sleep”. The complex and luminous colours of Trolove’s paintings are transformed by fluctuating light, allowing the viewer to experience the works fully. pataka.org.nz
