Kauri Bushman’s Walk

Follow in the footsteps of the kauri bushman with this short 300m loop track. The Kauri Bushman Memorial Scenic Reserve opened in 1954 and is dedicated to the memory of the pre-World War I bushmen who shaped the landscape with their tools and might. The track is located 1.7km down Sterling Road, between Paparoa and Matakohe. Look for the log hauler abandoned near the entrance.
