RAILWAY RESERVE

Following the historic railway that connected Nelson with Glenhope, the Railway Reserve is an off-road pathway stretching from the city to the coast. Navigating the city's over- and underpasses, cyclists get to see the stunning sights of Tasman Bay and Mount Arthur in the distance. It's possible to start right in the middle of town before heading through suburbs alongside the State Highway and out towards Mapua. The northern end is accessed via St Vincent Street.
