This quaint café is a quite possibly the most delicious pitstop along the Hurunui stretch of SH1. Anyone crunched for time will find the cabinet food (including melt-in-themouth cheese scones) makes for tasty mid-morning snacking. A word of warning — it takes a will of iron not to sink into a chair to tackle a brekkie or pasta-of-theday. Indulge in eggs benedict stacked on a fat rosemary-flavoured rosti or the slowcooked barbecue pork burger. The café has been a popular choice for local motorists to refuel since 1997.
